Jo Gretton was CEO of Telent, a leading supplier of technology solutions to critical national infrastructure. A law graduate from Exeter and former barrister, Jo joined Marconi in 2000 and was part of the founding management team when the business rebranded as Telent in 2006. She progressed through senior roles including General Counsel and COO before being appointed CEO in 2020. Jo successfully reshaped Telent into a commercially focused engineering organisation, improving EBITDA from 1% to 9% and driving cash conversion above 85%. She embedded a culture of transparency and accountability, resulting in stronger performance and a top-quartile engagement score. Under her leadership, Telent was named one of the UK’s best large companies to work for. This year she led the sale of Telent to M Group. Known for her approachable and authentic style, Jo inspires colleagues to deliver lasting impact.
