INCLUSIVE CULTURE INITIATIVE AWARD


25by2025 is a global initiative launched in 2019 by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to tackle gender imbalance across the aviation industry. With women historically under-represented in senior leadership and technical roles, the voluntary programme sets a bold target: increase female representation in these areas by 25%, or to a minimum of 25%, by the end of 2025. Open to airlines and aviation-related organisations, it also calls for greater diversity in IATA governance and industry events. Today, more than 200 signatories are driving measurable change through transparent reporting, best practice sharing, and inclusive

workplace strategies, supported by IATA’s DE&I maturity tools and benchmarking data. Captured in the Gender in Aviation Report (2024), 25by2025 has become more than a pledge; it is a collaborative movement advancing equity, accountability, and opportunity in aviation for the next generation.
