Catherine is a Black, queer, neurodivergent leader whose purpose is rooted in building a world where marginalised communities are celebrated, not excluded. From overcoming exclusion, racism and homophobia to becoming the first in her family to attend university, Catherine has transformed adversity into action. She began her journey with Weston Spirit, later serving as a youth ambassador for the Anthony Walker Foundation and leading humanitarian aid projects in Nigeria with VSO. She went on to design award-winning equality and hate crime prevention programmes, including the Champions Project at the University of Manchester, which reached 5,000 people and won multiple national awards. A pioneer of Active Bystander training, she has equipped thousands with tools to challenge discrimination. Today, as founder of Be What You See Consultancy, Catherine delivers transformative training across sectors, driving systemic change and creating psychologically safe workplaces.
