Zoë Hingston is a nationally respected EDI leader driving systemic change across policing, sport, housing, culture, and higher education. During her 16+ years at Northumbria Police, where she rose to Inspector, Zoë founded the Positive Action Team, chaired the Ethnic Minority Association, and served as General Secretary of the National Black Police Association, shaping national policy on recruitment, representation, and trust. She later led inclusion at Newcastle United FC, delivering sector-leading initiatives to advance equity, representation, and belonging across the club and wider football community. Now Head of EDI at Newcastle University, she leads institution-wide strategy for over 30,000 students and staff. Zoë is a Non-Executive Director at Home Group, chairing the Governance and People Committee, and a Director of Northumberland FA, chairing its Inclusion Advisory Board. She advises nationally and mentors future leaders, championing ethical, inclusive, and transformative leadership.
