SOCIAL MOBILITY PROJECT AWARD
Founded in 2020, JustUs is a fully inclusive, fully accessible cross-community social group for adults with disabilities. Now in its sixth year, JustUs has grown into a vibrant community supporting hundreds of people, including adults with disabilities, carers, families, and friends, through an ever-expanding calendar of activities. From karaoke, choirs, and quizzes to discos, sports days, theatre trips, boat rides, and away-day excursions, every event is designed to combat isolation, break down barriers, and create belonging. Led by a committee of adultswith disabilities, carers, and family members, JustUs is built on lived experience and authentic understanding of the challenges faced. Its impact reaches beyond social connection: it has reshaped local perceptions of disability, replacing labels with pride, personality, and joy. Today, JustUs is known not just for inclusion but for bringing life, energy, and fun wherever it goes.
