PRISM have championed LGBTQ+ inclusion for over 16 years. With over 550 members, it’s built a powerful culture of allyship and visibility. They’ve shaped inclusive HR policies, such as their ‘Trans and Non-Binary Inclusion’ policy, a self-serve name change tool and a discreet trans-inclusive recruitment process. Adopting a colleague led approach, they facilitate monthly listening sessions for trans, non-binary and intersex colleagues and deliver an annual event recognising LGBTQ+ excellence. The network drives cultural impact beyond Co-op. It has helped the business become the only UK retailer to speak in Parliament in support of Equal Marriage, led participation in 41 Prides in 2025, and forged long-standing partnerships with organisations such as the LGBT Foundation and Iris Prize. Through collaboration, activism, and lived-experience, PRISM continues to set the standard for inclusive workplace culture.
