giffgaff’s DEI Collective has redefined what inclusion looks like inside a challenger brand, transforming DEI from a set of initiatives into a bold, activist‑driven movement. Led by Head of Diversity Ian Tomney‑Bell and powered by eight Affinity Groups, the team has dismantled legacy thinking, embedded neuroinclusive meeting guidance, and ensured every network lead receives protected time and professional development. Their work has increased eNPS, secured full leadership commitment through an inclusive decision‑making pledge, delivered flagship education programmes, platformed powerful intersectional voices and represented giffgaff at UK Black Pride and in Parliament. With a 2026 strategy focused on committing, striving and thriving, the DEI Collective has proven that inclusion can be disruptive, strategic and deeply human. They are building a workplace where every identity is protected, every voice is valued and every person can thrive.
