Inclusive Culture Initiative
Skyscanner’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team is a lean two‑person function led by Joanne Vazquez‑Kirby, transforming inclusion from isolated initiatives into a global operating model that shapes leadership, culture and organisational decision‑making. Since 2022, the team has strengthened accountability, maintained commitment during a challenging period for the DEI profession and secured a 212.5 percent increase in investment, enabling sustainable, measurable impact. Their RISE Framework connects four global employee networks and more than 45 DEI Champions, embedding shared ownership across regions and functions. Through Count Me In demographic data, Inclusive Leadership pathways and practical changes such as Adjustments Passports, Quiet Rooms, flexible working and anti‑racism education, the team has contributed to record engagement of 83 percent and multiple external accreditations. Skyscanner’s DEI team stands out for building systems that ensure inclusion is embedded in how the organisation leads, develops talent and makes decisions.
