Social Mobility Project Award
CGI Young Dreamers, launched in 2022, enhances social mobility by opening STEM career pathways for students from underserved backgrounds. The programme engages secondary school students through a competition that involves solving real-world business challenges in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths. Students work in teams on client briefs, receive mentorship from CGI professionals, and present their solutions at prestigious venues like Lords Cricket Ground. The initiative targets schools in underrepresented areas, fostering skills in research, teamwork, and presentation. Over 1,400 students have benefited, with noticeable increases in STEM interest and confidence. By spotlighting diverse role models and providing hands-on experience, CGI Young Dreamers inspires students and cultivates a more inclusive future tech workforce. Recognition from this award would amplify the programme’s impact, encouraging broader participation and support.
