Social Mobility Project Award
Future Leaders UK is a social mobility organisation that supports ambitious 16-18-year olds from disadvantaged backgrounds. We develop our beneficiaries’ confidence, skills, and access to life-changing career opportunities. Through our intersectional approach, we prioritise young people facing compounding barriers. This enables us to promote social mobility where it is needed most. While initially working with just 40 beneficiaries, our programme now engages over 5000 young people across the UK, each eager to develop their professionalism. This is achieved through workshops, mentorship, and enrichment visits, significantly impacting participants’ confidence and aspirations. Our social mobility work is incredibly successful, with 97% of alumni reporting that the programme has increased their career prospects. Furthermore, we’ve successfully placed underrepresented young people into leading companies like Amazon, EY, Salesforce, and HSBC.
