Gary Harrold, CEO of SPS UK & Ireland, began his career in the mailroom and has risen through the business over three decades to become a respected leader known for his humility, empathy, and commitment to people. Alongside operational excellence, Gary has championed Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) as a strategic priority. He commissioned SPS UKI’s first external audit, founded the SWAN (SPS Women’s Alliance Network) employee group, and secured global approval for the region’s first dedicated EDI Manager role, embedding inclusion into leadership structures. Under his sponsorship, eight employee networks have been launched, board-level accountability introduced, and powerful initiatives delivered on race equality, men’s health, and psychological safety. Gary’s values-led leadership, reinforced during moments of social and political unrest, has positioned SPS UKI as a global voice for inclusion, ensuring equity remains at the heart of the business.
