Nic Ponsford, a former teacher, leader, and Harvard-published author, founded the Global Equality Collective (GEC) to revolutionize school culture and inclusion. The GEC uses data and human connection to ensure schools don’t just measure inclusion-they build it. With over 13,000 members, including 400 education experts (the ‘GEC Circle’), the GEC has developed a multi-award-winning platform for enhancing inclusion and well-being in schools, proven effective in over 30 countries and supporting nearly 250,000 students. Nic is a doctoral researcher at Bournemouth University, Fellow in Data Sciences in Education (FRSA, FIESE) and regularly writes for major outlets like TES, Schools Week, and The Guardian. Her outreach includes working with the DfE on the Edtech Demonstrator Programme and Assistive Technologies. She has received numerous accolades, including being named one of Europe’s top 50 women in tech and was recently listed ‘Highly Commended’ in the category of ‘Role Model of the Year’ by Computing magazine.
