I am British South Asian who is professionally a Change Transformation expert and a Global DEI Director. My humble beginnings drive my core values of togetherness, gratitude and betterment.
The starting point is a bowl of watery rice with several faces around it, as several hands pop in one by one to collect a mouthful. All while their mother watches on and goes without until her children have eaten.Other forms of experiences range from poverty, to discrimination, to being overlooked and more.
Coming from nothing, to creating a story of growth, resilience and achievement.
I have designed and led equity programmes to change the very things I have experienced and too observed in workplaces. I have trailblazed to change systems of inequity to redesign for all. These have reached right across the DEI spectrum. I have worked with several CEOs openly and NDA’d to develop mindsets and transform their actions towards Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
I have established several DEI centre of excellence, vision, and strategy, leading senior leaders on a journey towards full equity commitment. Initiating a global DEI steering group while alignments of organisations overall goals to the DEI vision. Created 34 global Employee Resource Group, including in the UK.Launched Refugee and Employment Programme for diverse talent and expanded it to include young people with disabilities. Pioneered industry-leading initiatives. Her result of equitable and workplace growth has improved and increased workplace satisfaction to 94% of employees stating they are treated with respect regardless of their background and happy the benefits from DEI actions are coming..
I have supported and offered pro bono stewardship to many many individuals that have faced workplace discrimination. Leading to retaining employment, de-esclation of disputes, maintained PR and protection of individual wellbeing. All in all a win win for both employer and employee.
Recently, achievement has been in supporting multiple strangers in the conflicts as a result of world affairs. Faced with university removals, work dismissals, career end and mental and physical harm these individuals have had everything to loose. To name one example. a 22 years girl, whose sitatation has been reversed to regain her job, her entry into university, rebuild of her mental state and reinstatement of a clean criminal record.
I work into corporate organisations and also outwards with a single goal of Equity and Inclusion in mind
