Future Frontiers | London, UK

Future Frontiers is a UK-based charity dedicated to empowering young people from disadvantaged backgrounds by providing them with the guidance, networks, and opportunities they need to realize their potential at school and achieve post-16 qualifications that lead to secure and fulfilling employment.

Since its inception, Future Frontiers has partnered with over 130 businesses and 89 schools, delivering a two-year programme of career coaching, advice, and guidance to equip lower-attaining, disadvantaged young people to realize their potential at school and take positive next steps into education or training at age 16.

The programme consists of three phases: exploring and inspiring students through personalized career coaching, pathway action planning with one-to-one support from trained advisors, and securing a quality destination by providing ongoing support to follow their action plan and overcome any barriers to enrolment after GCSE results.

Evaluations have shown that participating in Future Frontiers is associated with statistically significant higher attendance, improved attitudes towards learning, and increased motivation to work hard in school or college.

Through its impactful programmes, Future Frontiers is helping to level the playing field for young people from low-income households, enabling them to aim high and reach their full potential.
