Cheryl Samuels: Cheryl Samuels is a pioneering HR professional in the London NHS system and co-founder of the #InclusiveHR movement, which addresses racial inequities in HR & OD and promotes credible leadership. She is the People & Culture Director at Evelina London, part of Guy’s and St Thomas Foundation NHS Trust, and has held multiple award-winning leadership roles. With over 20 years as a qualified CIPD practitioner and 15 years in senior management, Cheryl has served as Deputy Director in various NHS Trusts and NHS England, both nationally and regionally. Her expertise includes leading HR services and large-scale transformation programs in acute, mental health, and primary care, with a strong focus on culture change and inclusivity. A CIPD Fellow, Cheryl founded the London Deputy Directors of HR Network in 2014. In 2023, she was elected President of NAMPS (National Association of Medical Personnel Specialists), advocating for best practices in employing doctors and dentists in the NHS. As a thought leader, she frequently speaks on workforce-related issues with a focus on equality and inclusion. Cheryl is passionate about social justice, innovative people practices, and leveraging digital advancements to enhance the workplace.
Rachael Tyler: Rachael has been in the role of Development Director for the Healthcare People Management Association, London Academy for nine years and is responsible for delivering an exciting and holistic development programme for workforce professionals across 64 NHS Trust across London and the South East. Under her leadership the Academy has gone from strength to strength delivering a core programme of development as well as delivering, award winning, talent leadership programmes for HR and OD professionals for the last 7 years. Rachael is passionate about improving talent management processes for the HR and OD profession supporting member organisations to identify and develop our talented future workforce leaders. Rachael is the co-founder of #InclusiveHR, a high profile movement for change to improve equality, diversity and inclusion for the people profession across the NHS. She has worked tirelessly to jointly lead this critical programme of work. Rachael had worked in HR in the NHS since 1988 working as an HR Director for 13 years in Mental Health, Community and PCT organisations.
