Jarell Bempong is a transformational leader, psychotherapist, and cultural systems innovator whose life journey epitomises the power of social mobility when equity is rooted in justice. As a Black, gay, neurodivergent man of Ghanaian-British heritage, Jarell’s lived experience of being excluded—by class, race, faith, and identity—fuelled his mission to dismantle the very systems that once erased him.

He is the founder of Bempong Talking Therapy™, home of the Intersectional Cultural Consciousness™ (ICC™) framework and Sage™—the UK’s first AI-augmented DEI and mental health platform. Jarell’s work goes beyond traditional diversity interventions to build sustainable systems for equity, well-being, and opportunity.

After being disowned and navigating systemic oppression, Jarell redefined healing as resistance and turned trauma into strategy. His bestselling book White Talking Therapy Can’t Think in Black! catalysed a movement to decolonise mental health and train culturally conscious therapists. His groundbreaking Atlas of Intersectional Superpowers™ reframes marginalised identities as sources of strategic power—an essential pillar in his social mobility model.

He has partnered with organisations such as Fresh Start Future Enterprises, Havas, and Alstom to transform hiring, coaching, and leadership systems for underrepresented talent. His initiatives have reduced recruitment bias, embedded psychological safety, and created sustainable career pathways for the global majority.

Jarell believes social mobility must be intersectional, accessible, and rooted in mental health equity. Through AI-powered diagnostics, trauma-informed leadership, and systems change, he ensures that progress is no longer a privilege—it’s a right.
