Katy Hall | London, UK

I am Katy Hall, a purpose-driven leader in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), with nearly two decades of experience transforming workplaces, influencing industries, and creating cultures where everyone can thrive. My journey has been shaped by a deep belief in equity, a relentless drive for impact, and a commitment to building systems that work for everyone, not just the majority.
My career began in recruitment, where I quickly saw the systemic barriers that excluded talented individuals from opportunities. I saw how bias, often unconscious, shaped hiring decisions, how processes favoured the familiar, and how organisations missed out on incredible talent because they weren’t looking in the right places or asking the right questions. That early insight became the foundation of my mission: to reimagine how we attract, hire, develop, and retain people, through the lens of inclusion.
Over the years, I’ve held senior roles at some of the world’s most respected organisations, including Aon, Ernst & Young, and Fieldfisher. At Aon, I served as Global Head of Inclusive Recruitment, where I partnered with C-suite leaders to deliver global representation goals, built inclusive hiring frameworks, and led flagship programmes such as Diverse Sponsorship and Inclusive Recruitment training. I also played a key role in integrating DEI during a major acquisition, helping to shape the structure of business resource groups for the newly formed organisation.
In 2025, I stepped into my current role as Global Head of Diversity at NES Fircroft the world’s leading engineering staffing specialist. The energy sector is one of the most complex and historically underrepresented industries, and I saw an opportunity to drive real, lasting change. I developed and implemented a global DEI strategy that spans internal culture, external client partnerships, supplier diversity, and thought leadership.
The results have been extraordinary:
• We achieved gender representation targets at the senior leadership level
• Our global employee survey recorded an 85% belonging score, an all-time high.
• NES Fircroft was named a Top Staffing Company to Work For by the World Staffing Awards.
These achievements are not just numbers, they represent lives changed, barriers broken, and futures reimagined.
But my work goes beyond metrics. I am a vocal advocate for underrepresented communities. I’ve delivered keynote speeches on neurodiversity and the evolving DEI landscape in the United States. I’ve authored white papers on psychological safety and neurodiversity that have influenced workplace strategies across the energy sector and beyond. I mentor emerging DEI professionals, coach senior leaders through complex culture challenges, and work closely with employee resource groups to ensure every voice is heard.
I lead with empathy, but also with data. I’ve built dashboards to track diversity metrics, redesigned recruitment systems to eliminate bias, and embedded DEI into leadership development and supplier engagement. I believe that inclusion is not a side project, it’s a business imperative, a cultural foundation, and a moral responsibility.
What I’ve been through is a journey of learning, unlearning, and leading. I’ve faced resistance, navigated complexity, and challenged the status quo. I’ve had to prove again and again that inclusion is not just the right thing to do, but the smart thing to do. And I’ve done it with integrity, resilience, and a deep commitment to impact.
I am proud of what I’ve achieved, but I am even more proud of the people I’ve empowered, the systems I’ve changed, and the legacy I’m building. My work is not about me, it’s about creating a world where everyone has the opportunity to succeed, to lead, and to belong.
