Founded in 2014 by Liz Dimmock, Moving Ahead is a specialist mentoring and development organisation. Our mission is to accelerate business growth and innovation by advancing high-performance, inclusive cultures where all talent thrives. All of our programmes are created through a lens of diversity, equity and inclusion with the intention that they should be powerful catalysts for change, unlocking human potential through transformative learning experiences.
Moving Ahead is proud to run the world’s largest cross-company mentoring programme via two strands. Mission Gender Equity was created in support of the 30% Club campaign’s mission and strategy to boost the number of women in board seats and executive leadership globally. Mission Include was built to directly and intentionally support under-represented talent, drawing on its partnership with 30% Club, Progress Together, LGBT Great, Change the Race Ratio, Age Irrelevance and other leading DEI campaigns to deliver campaign-driven learning to explore and strengthen knowledge around specific diversity strands.
We run sector-specific cross-company mentoring programmes including Women in Platinum Group Metals, Women in Rail, Women in Defence, Actuarial Mentoring Programme and Broadening Horizons for early-career researchers. We also run internal mentoring, development and sponsorship programmes for organisations such as Valuable 500 (disability inclusion focused), Santander (Women Business Leaders), Glencore, BUPA, Guardian, JP Morgan (Founders Forward) and many more.
Through our programmes, we inspire and enable courageous conversations that cultivate inclusion and drive performance, support individuals at all levels and from all groups to thrive, activate senior leaders to become confident advocates for change, helping to create impact at scale and convene and connect global organisations, campaigns and leaders to drive our mission forward.
Whether a global cohort of thousands or a focused programme of 20, our mentoring programmes have a strong track record of tangible success, from role advancement and promotion of participants to engagement and retention rates. To date we are proud to have supported over 41,000 individuals from 477 organisations, 71 countries and 43 sectors.
