Playground Games | Leamington Spa, UK

MIND@PG is the largest and most transformative Employee Resource Group at Playground Games, founded to ensure that Mental Health, Inclusivity, Neurodiversity, and Disability are not only recognised, but championed as central pillars of our workplace culture. Created from lived experience and a shared desire for change, MIND@PG has become a catalyst for accessibility, empathy, and long-term innovation in both the studio and wider industry.
Before MIND@PG, conversations around mental health and disability were limited. A small group of employees came together to change that narrative supported by senior leadership. MIND@PG has grown into a 191-member-strong community of employees and allies. Together, we have built a safe, visible, and proactive space where everyone under the MIND umbrella can thrive.
Key achievements include:
• Launching the Neuropathway Healthcare Benefit, allowing employees to receive ADHD and ASC diagnoses in weeks instead of waiting 3+ years on the NHS.
• Transforming physical environments, from quiet rooms and hearing loops to supporting gender-neutral restrooms, and inclusive equipment and seating plans.
• Supporting inclusive design through ideation sessions with our Forza Horizon design team, including accessibility and character customisation options (prosthetic limbs, sign language) and adaptive features.
• Involvement in Brave Space conversations about mental health, stress, and empowering colleagues to seek support.
• MIND@PG have 15 Mental Health First Aiders, creating a peer support network that offers compassionate, confidential support and signposting.
• Partnering with MIND UK, Safe In Our World, and Special Effect, to run awareness campaigns, sponsor events, and fundraise providing impactful community outreach.
The impact of MIND@PG has enabled employees to bring their best selves to work, to access meaningful and timely support, and to shape the future of accessibility in gaming.

MIND@PG has redefined what it means to belong helping to break down stigma and barriers. Through our shared commitment, we’ve proven that inclusion enables people to feel like they belong.
