TalkTalk | Manchester, UK

TalkTalk is the UK’s largest value for money connectivity provider with broadband, TV, landline and legacy mobile customers. We believe that simple, affordable, reliable and fair connectivity should be available to everyone.

Since entering the market in the early 2000s, we’ve had a proud history as an innovative challenger brand, ensuring customers benefit from more choice, affordable prices and better services.

In 2004, we launched unlimited free calls between TalkTalk users, making it easier than ever for people to connect. Two years later, in 2006, we rolled out free broadband, completely transforming the UK’s residential market. In 2011, we became the first internet provider to launch a web filtering service that targets the whole home. We call it HomeSafe and it’s still provided at no extra cost to all standard broadband customers, helping protect families from suspicious websites and inappropriate content. The next year, we launched TalkTalk TV which currently offers widest range of entertainment services compared to any other major UK broadband provider. In 2024, TalkTalk Group separated its main operating businesses, resulting in two companies driving their own strategic direction albeit within the Group. TalkTalk, the consumer business, has just over 500 colleagues.

We’re now a little over 20 years old – but no less energetic. Still based at our Soapworks HQ in Salford, we’ve renewed our operational focus on Customer, Colleague and Community:

Customer: Today we offer our customers a whole host of features and benefits that come as standard with our full fibre plans. In addition to our Great Connection Guarantee, meaning customers can walk away if they aren’t happy within their first 30 days, they also get Amazon’s award-winning eero router, unlimited data, internet backup, parental controls and access to a 24/7 online service centre.

Colleague: We celebrate diversity and pride ourselves on being a place for everyone. We commit to ensuring that everyone is treated fairly and that there is diverse representation at all levels, and in all areas, of the business. We also ensure there are no barriers to progression or recruitment and that appointments are based on merit. For example, TalkTalk is a Disability Confident Committed employer and has an Equality Policy outlines that it is unlawful to discriminate directly or indirectly in recruitment or employment i.e. due to age, gender identity, pregnancy, race, sexual orientation or religion.

Community: We are proud to be a Salford-based business. We work closely with Salford Council and other local organisations to promote prosperity and opportunity in Salford and across Greater Manchester.

We’re determined to not only provide fast and reliable broadband at great value, but provide a thriving and inclusive workplace for all colleagues, and do good where we can in our local community, too.
