Women@Sky is Sky’s flagship gender employee network, empowering women and allies to thrive, lead and belong. Our mission is simple: gender equality for all, so no woman is left behind. Through four strategic pillars—Active Allyship, Speaking Up, Health & Personal Safety, and Progression—we are helping build a stronger, safer and more inclusive Sky.
Our community reaches almost 11,000 women across Sky UK and a further 4,000 colleagues across Ireland, Germany and Italy. We work closely with Women@SkySports, TECHWomen, Sisterhood (Black Women), WomenInFinance@Sky, WomenInSport@Sky, Women@SkyCreative, Social Mobility and Group Diversity, Inclusion & Wellbeing, ensuring our programmes reflect diverse experiences while driving meaningful organisational change.
In 2025-26, Women@Sky evolved beyond an employee network into a strategic partner influencing culture, policy and leadership. We contributed to hybrid working discussions, supported Gender Pay Gap Report communications and accountability, shaped menopause policy and education, and partnered with HR and Group DIW on Employment Rights Act changes affecting women.
International Women’s Day 2026 demonstrated the impact of this collaborative approach. More than 3,000 colleagues participated in events spanning four European markets. Highlights included large-scale Lean In workshops on confidence, self-advocacy and leadership presence, a fireside conversation between Sophy Ridge and Michelle Keegan exploring authentic representation of women in the media, Women in Sport programming championed by CEO Dana Strong and Chief Sports Officer Jonathan Licht, financial wellbeing seminars with Octopus Money, and fundraising with Sky Bigger Picture for The King’s Trust’s Change a Girl’s Life campaign.
The success of our Lean In workshops led to an ongoing programme of intersectional Lean In Circles delivered throughout the year with partner employee networks.
Health, safety and wellbeing remained central to our work. Almost 1,000 women attended sessions covering stalking awareness with the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, lone working, workplace harassment, cervical cancer awareness and hormonal health. Our Women’s Health Series—including the Menopause Café, Endometriosis Forum and expert-led health events—continues to create safe, inclusive spaces where colleagues can openly discuss issues often overlooked in the workplace.
Our commitment to allyship extends to men. International Men’s Day 2025 focused on male mental health, including discussions inspired by Netflix’s Adolescence, alongside Reciprocal Allyship workshops and conversations about modern masculinity. By encouraging men to engage openly with wellbeing and identity, we strengthened allyship across Sky.
Women@Sky is also influencing change beyond our organisation. As a founding member of Women & Allies in Media and Entertainment (WAME), we helped launch a coalition of more than 18 UK media and entertainment companies to share best practice and accelerate progress on gender equality, with one of our co-chairs serving on WAME’s inaugural board.
Our impact is sustained year-round through five flagship programmes: International Women’s Day, International Men’s Day, the Women’s Health Series, Progression initiatives and our biennial Shout Out Awards, celebrating colleagues who champion gender equality and embody our “lift as we climb” ethos.
Our monthly newsletter reaches more than 3,300 colleagues in Sky UK and over 6,500 across European markets, amplified through Sky’s intranet, homepage and Viva Engage. Podcasts, storytelling and cross-network collaboration ensure diverse voices are consistently heard.
Our 2024–26 strategy places intersectionality at its heart, recognising that women do not experience the workplace equally and ensuring every programme is designed with inclusion in mind.
Our measurable impact in 2025–26 includes:
• 3,000+ colleagues engaged through IWD programming.
• Nearly 1,000 attendees at women’s health and personal safety events.
• Collaboration across four European markets and multiple employee networks.
• 18+ organisations united through the launch of WAME.
• Growing communications reach to 6,500+ colleagues across Europe.
Women@Sky demonstrates the power of collaboration, accountability and purposeful leadership. Through policy influence, cross-industry partnerships, intersectional inclusion, health and wellbeing initiatives, and meaningful allyship, we are helping create a workplace—and an industry—where everyone can thrive.
No woman left behind. No opportunity unseen. No voice unheard.
