DIVERSITY TEAMS AWARD


Over the past five years, OVO’s Belonging Team has transformed workplace culture with the launch of the company’s first fully formed Belonging strategy, spanning all strands of diversity. Despite sector challenges, leadership changes, and reduced budgets, the team has achieved remarkable impact: establishing eight thriving colleague networks, publishing annual Belonging Reports with transparent metrics (including voluntary ethnicity pay gap data), and creating Belonging e-learning modules, the most completed and highest-rated in OVO’s catalogue. Initiatives such as a C-suite reverse mentoring programme and partnerships with organisations including the Aleto Foundation, Business in the Community, and Trans in the City have further extended impact. Representation of women in tech and ethnic minorities across the business has increased, engagement has grown, and Belonging has become a defining feature of OVO’s culture, embedding equity, empathy, and inclusion at every level.
