Outstanding Diversity Network Award
The Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage (REACH) Network at Whitbread PLC, founded in November 2020, is a transformative force in promoting diversity. Based in Dunstable, this network represents ethnic minority backgrounds, diverse religious faiths, and cultural heritages. Led by dedicated co-leads and supported by an Executive Committee, REACH aims to foster an inclusive environment where all employees can be their authentic selves. REACH’s strategic approach includes in-person events and online campaigns, aligning with key dates such as Race Equality Week and Black History Month. The network’s impact is evident through its growing membership and significant improvements in employee engagement, particularly among Black colleagues. By addressing gaps identified in engagement surveys, REACH has successfully enhanced workplace experiences and continues to drive meaningful change at Whitbread PLC.
