Deborah is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, driven by her own experiences overcoming adversity. From managing a department store at 18 to advancing through the banking industry, Deborah’s journey has been marked by resilience and determination. Now Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Barclays, she leads initiatives for 23,000 colleagues, championing DEI across the organisation. Deborah’s work includes designing Barclays’ global DEI personal development guide and launching a successful podcast series, WeAreBarclays, addressing important conversations. She is also a proud Co-Chair of the Black Professional Resource Group, supporting over 3,500 members. Deborah’s commitment to inclusion, alongside her dedication to community work and advocacy, continues to inspire positive change within Barclays and beyond.
