Mott MacDonald’s UK and Europe EDI team consists of just two dedicated professionals who have transformed inclusion across a complex, multi‑thousand‑strong workforce by embedding equity into everyday business practice. Through evidence‑based insight, shared accountability and deep collaboration, they have integrated inclusion throughout the employee lifecycle, reshaping recruitment, progression and leadership development. Their initiatives include inclusive hiring, Aspire ethnicity leadership development, Reciprocal Mentoring, Women in Leadership and practical resources that strengthen psychological safety and everyday inclusive decision‑making. Representation has increased significantly across gender, ethnicity and disability, with women now accounting for 42 percent of promotions and ethnic minority colleagues representing over a quarter of hires. Externally recognised through Clear Assured Platinum, Disability Confident Leader and the Times Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality, this two‑person team has delivered sustainable, measurable cultural change and set a new benchmark for sector‑wide inclusion leadership.
