Founded in 2014, Mix Diversity are a passionate and experienced diversity and inclusion training and consultancy firm. Whether it’s in-depth 1:1 coaching for ExCo members, blended learning solutions for global leaders or collaborative strategy writing with HR teams, we’re committed to bringing inclusion to life so that people and organisations understand what to actually DO to improve inclusion, whether that’s on a personal level or an organisational/systemic level.
THE MIX APPROACH AND OUR RESULTS
We thought the best way to introduce ourselves would be to show how our values tie in to the results that we see for our clients.
Spark Change
We spark change in the right places, making sure it sticks. We make it in two places – within leadership and on a personal level. This means that our message hits home and provides people the motivation to change at work and in their daily lives. We also help smooth transitions for leaders, ensuring they’re able to focus on what’s important.

In 2021, Glanbia plc, a nutrition group with 7,000 employees across 3 continents, invited us to do a full Maturity Assessment. Initially they were ranked as ‘Level 1: Inactive’. Mix then worked closely with Glanbia to develop a D&I Vision and 3 Year Strategy, going on to deliver bespoke D&I e-learning to all of their staff, as well as inclusion workshops for functions such as Senior Leaders, Marketing and HR. On repeating the audit in 2023, we were delighted that they had attained GDEIB ‘Level 3 Proactive’ – a significant improvement indicating that our mission to spark change had been effective!
Candid but Kind
The work we do is sensitive because bringing people face-to-face with their bias and privilege can be challenging. Showing people a side of themselves they didn’t realise was there and giving them the space to come to terms with it, requires clear communication and understanding.
We hold kindness and fun in high regard because they help us to bring down walls, remembering that we’re all human and all have lots to learn. We call it ‘candid but kind’: we’ll show you your gaps in understanding and what to do about it.

“The training was hugely impactful, relevant and pitched perfectly. I appreciated having open conversations about a topic I find difficult.” Senior Leader at Center Parcs.
“Mix have an incredibly warm and engaging style. They have a neat way of bringing a topic to life with real life examples and human stories. Better yet they can tackle big topics and make them accessible to the audience by arming them with tangible takeaways that you can go and put into practice straightaway.” Head of Comms & Engagement, HSBC.
Everything DEI
It feels like the world is changing faster than ever before. People see themselves and their workplaces differently, raising new questions around who we should be and what is and isn’t acceptable.
We help companies navigate this ever-changing world to meet their diversity and culture goals. We never drop the ball, no matter what clients throw our way. Whether it’s a talk or training, or something bespoke that’s never been done before – we’re ready to build it with our clients.
If it falls under DEI, we have a solution.
Results:
Our initial contract with Lidl GB was for a full training creation and cascade to the whole organisation (28,000 employees) from the board to the shop floor. Following the training, 93% of participants felt ’very confident‘ or ’confident‘ about how to be consciously inclusive, compared with only 34% before the training.
This then became a longer term relationship where we starting running Focus Groups as they wanted to hear from under-represented groups within their workforce. We’ve also supported Lidl’s Employee Relations Consultants in the topic of allyship and conducted an ‘External Perception Audit’ to highlight the work that Lidl’s competitors have done in D&I.
“When we brought Mix into Lidl, I suppose we didn’t know what to expect, but what Mix did for Lidl was change our culture” – Alistair Cumming, Head of Talent Management, Lidl GB
This is Personal
Making workplaces better for everyone is a responsibility that Mix takes very seriously.
Each project is guided, not only by expert knowledge and experience, but by our passion to help people feel that they belong, that they can give their best and be noticed.

“I found it really useful and could have spent the day on the topic. Until you attend one of these sessions you don’t seem to realise how much you don’t know!” Group Security Manager, Dairygold.
