SEE Change Happen is an Inclusion and Belonging consultancy, that specialises in working to ensure that organisations are culturally aware and sensitive to the needs of individuals.

We offer best-practice consultancy including developing workplace policies, inclusion and ally strategies, and support and mentoring; professional keynote speaking for conferences or events; and workshops and training for crucial learning and development.

Working with “people people” in organisations our primary objective is to ensure that Positive People Experiences result from engagement strategies and training. We work to ensure that your culture is nurtured and fosters psychological safety, together with high levels of customer, candidate and employee experience.

We also provide LGBTQ+ support specialising in Transgender, Non-Binary and Gender Non-Conforming Awareness, including support for individuals in the workplace, their managers and co-workers.

SEE Change Happen has extensive experience working with global corporate organisations together with social housing, education, public sector bodies, health and social care, hospitality and the service sector, human resources and talent acquisition, as well as organisation development teams. SEE Change Happen, a leading provider of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DE&I) solutions, was founded by Joanne Lockwood in 2017. Based on the South Coast of the UK, we are more than just a service provider; we are partners in your journey towards creating a truly inclusive culture. Our team of experts works closely with you to understand your specific challenges and opportunities. We then develop a comprehensive strategy that not only addresses these issues but also promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion.

Our name, SEE Change Happen, originated from our mantra: SMILE, ENGAGE, and EDUCATE. We’ve seen how those three actions really do create a positive change, causing a ripple effect from the workplace into home and society. Because embedding an equal and inclusive culture helps everyone become more accepting of people’s differences.

We specialise in providing tailored face-to-face consultancy services – such as training, mentoring, and coaching – to businesses throughout the UK, Europe, and beyond. Our best practice approach ensures that we deliver tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of each organisation we work with.

Together – Joanne Lockwood and myself – Marie Manley have been married for thirty six years and have been working together here at SEE Change Happen for nearly two years. Joanne is a Fellow of the Professional Speaking Association, Member of the Institute of Equality and Diversity Professionals, consultant, and facilitator who focuses on “people people” be that in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, or Learning & Develop to bring sustainable change by establishing a “why of D&I” for both the Organisation and the leadership teams to ensure it is promoted throughout to all colleagues.

As well as being a sought-after keynote conference speaker Joanne is also a prolific blogger and podcaster who hosts “Inclusion Bites” .

She was a contributor and featured in a Channel 4 (UK) documentary called “The Making of Me”, broadcast in February 2019 which featured on an episode of Gogglebox. This documentary was filmed over a 3-year period and detailed her own personal gender transition and its impact on those around her. I was also filmed for this series and from this we have been able to provide organisations business takeaways from both sides of a transgender journey.
