Spectrum – the Race & Ethnicity Network at the Financial Conduct Authority

Spectrum2026 Shortlisted nominee
Outstanding Diversity Network Award

Spectrum is the FCA’s race and ethnicity staff network, championing ethnic diversity, equity and progression across the organisation. Bringing together minority-ethnic colleagues and allies, Spectrum provides a trusted collective voice to senior leadership, highlighting lived experiences and helping shape practical solutions that strengthen inclusion. Through connection sessions, cultural heritage celebrations, storytelling panels and safe spaces for honest conversation, the network builds understanding and fosters a race-confident culture. Its partnerships extend across the FCA and externally, including collaborations with the Civil Service Race Forum, City Black Employee Resource Groups and Emerge networks. These partnerships support reverse mentoring for senior leaders and contribute to external youth mentoring initiatives. Spectrum’s work amplifies voices, challenges barriers and helps ensure colleagues from all backgrounds can thrive, influence decisions and see a future for themselves within financial regulation.
