Stemettes is a UK charity dedicated to empowering young women and non‑binary people to explore and pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths. For 13 years, Stemettes has led the movement to diversify the STEAM workforce, supporting more than 80,000 young people aged 5 to 25 through free activities, mentoring, certifications and community programmes designed through an intersectional lens. The charity tackles systemic barriers by prioritising those from low‑income households and historically marginalised ethnic backgrounds, ensuring financial, cultural and digital obstacles never block potential. In 2025, Stemettes delivered 101 events, supported 7,615 young people and worked with 322 schools, building a lifelong ecosystem of belonging where participants grow into confident STEAM professionals and return as mentors. Stemettes is not only changing individual futures but engineering a more equitable, creative and diverse talent pipeline for the entire tech sector.
